What is the best bike for me without spending more than $500
I just an average rider and enjoy riding around parks and out of state. Not an actual experience mtn rider, but enjoy a bike that can handle long distance rides, is light weight, fun and has a nice color. I had a Raleigh bike for 7 years, never had problems with it, light blue color, shimono breaks, and built for my frame, 5'4". I like the newer models, but its been 3 years since my bike was stolen and 10 years since I bought one or ventured in to a bike store. I recently came across this model online and it falls in my price range. Any opinions or other suggestions? I plan to have it for along time.

A little more information on the type of riding you plan to do would help. The Talus 3.0 is a recreational mountain bike. Probably be fine for riding around the park - light mountain bike riding (jeep trails). You mention long distance riding - would that be on paved roads? The Talus 3.0 might not be the best choice for that. I take it you want a new bike and do want to shop for a used one?
