Such a moron

I just did a little test riding outside to work out some bugs in my new setup, and I got my bike back inside then flipped it upside down to spin the wheels. After reving up the rear tire, I looked at my wall and ceiling, and a fine trail of mud-specks appeared, starting at the base of the wall and riding up and across the ceiling. I am such an idiot.

timmhaan 02-17-05 12:45 PM

that sucks! i almost always forget to remove the water bottle before flipping the bike over. which sucks, but not as much as mud on the ceiling. ;)

hahahaha...you gotta see the damage I did to the freshly painted wall...my father was rather disturbed. Stuff happens :D Wipe it off. Better than paint missing

This might make you feel better. A few years ago, I bought a brand new bike, took the front wheel off and placed the bike in my car. Then I proceeded to back up. That awful crunching sound I heard was my new front wheel being run over by my car.

Ha!! Thats funny stuff, its ok though we all do silly things at time and I could totally see myself doing somthing like this. I did something funny last week, the night I got my bike.

Oh, that hurts. I confess to doing the same thing once (only once), I felt like a real dolt. Were you able to fix yours? I was able to tweek mine straight, and it's still perfect. There, my dirty secret is out there, I'll have a Fat Tire now!

NzAndy 02-17-05 02:34 PM

I have not managed to run over my bike yet but I did get the lawn mower with the truck once. It took a while to live that one down.

Did you forget to remove the computer head and scratch it up on the floor also? How about running to get the ringing phone and letting the bike fall over sideways, bumping into the fish tak, smashing it sending flopping fish all over the place. You rush back in to scoop up the fish and cut your feet on the broken glass. Slip on the wet floor, landing on some glass....(I'll stop there it gets too gruesome after that.) Bottom line, you spend half the night in the emergenycy room and your chain rusts from the water from your fish tank. It doen't matter though because you can't ride again until you have the stitches removed from your rear.

LordOpie 02-17-05 03:24 PM

Were the fish okay?

Upon first reading I thought you did this at work, which would have been really cool.

CranxOC 02-17-05 05:59 PM

Just do it a couple more times and tell everyone that's the way it's supposed to be!

I one time, was riding with a friend, and my chain came off, caused me to fall on my side, scrape my leg and the side of my nice mew ultegra pedals, little did i know eh i flipped the bike back straight up i scratched the comp, and messed up the screen.

Oh man these are funny, I feel for every bike component that has been reported damaged in this thread.

Evil_Gilligan 02-18-05 12:18 AM

LOL... first good laugh all night after a L O N G day ... we're prolly long lost relatives or something, that is exactly the kind of thing I do daily ...

Don't ask me how I know this, but
1. wait until it dries
2. brush it off with a clean broom
3. paint over it.

lisitsa 02-18-05 03:59 AM

Slowly watched my bike slide down and fall over breaking my mirror. Yeah... No biggie, but I had at least 8 seconds, while the bike was just slowly tipping over rolling along the pole I was tying it up to, and I just stood their.

FLBandit 02-19-05 11:23 PM

I once stalled my motorcycle while taking off from a stop sign on the way to work. Unfortunately, It had rolled just far enough forward that I was unable to prevent it from falling! As I picked it up off the ground I looked behind me and noticed my boss was in the next car! He found it much more amusing than I did!

hi565 02-20-05 11:07 AM

Lol

One day I was opening up the gym. I decided to ride thur the gym over the nice vinyl tile and into the back room. I walk back out and see the floor has several little holes in it. DUH, I had my nokian 296 studded tires on. Oh boy was the owner ever pissed. Luckily I was a flooring installer years ago. I only had buy new tile.
