Front dereilure

Hi.
I just went from triple to a double, and now chain rubs against derailure when front is on 53 back is on 12-15, and when front is on 39 back is on 25. I have Tiagra 9 speed dereilure. Are there any good articles for noobs on how to adjust front derailure. I feel like it's something that I should be able to do. I really don't want to bring my bike back to LBS, it's such a hastle. Heh, I guess I should have checked it before leaving LBS, but I was in a hurry. :(
Thx.

I second the instructions that are found in the Park Tool site. Generally the trick to setting up a front derailleur is to completely disconnect the shift cable and start at the very beginning with the positioning of the derailleur on the seat tube and go from there. The fact that you are getting rubbing in both extreme positions leads me to think the derailleur may not be straight on your seat tube.

Just curious, but did you get the right bottom bracket for the double?

Yep.
Anyway I tried adjusting it, and completely messed it up. heh. Kind of discouriging. Insult to injury looks like today it won't be raining.

Don't know whether your problem was solved but I have a similar problem a few weeks ago. I had changed the BB, and the chain was rubbing, mostly on the highest gear and in this case shifting to the big chain ring was not as smooth as before the BB installation. The solution was to adjust the delailure positioning (turning not lifting up) on the seat post.
