Whoops, Sorry!

Seeing the thread about sinking in fresh asphalt reminded me of something that happened when I was about 13 (41 years ago). Maybe others have some good stories?

My friend and I were doubled-up on my Rollfast Skoot ("banana" seat), riding home from school. We had our feet stacked on the pedals for more power, and he happened to be in front, steering. We came upon a guy finishing a square of concrete sidewalk. The typical 3' X 3' or so. We rode up on the grass strip that was between the sidewalk and the street, but he couldn't hold it there, as the grass strip was convex in shape and it moved us right over into the concrete! Luckily, we had enough speed to make it through it and continue on. We don't know what he was yelling, but it wasn't nice!

It was like somethng from a movie, but it happened!
