Carrera Kashmir Eliptec: A Decent bike?

Hi all, just wondering if someone could help me out with a question.

Recently seen on Gumtree a mountain bike in what appears to be very good nick going for a really tempting price.

Its a Carrera Kashmir Eliptec and I was wondering if anyone had tried one of these bikes before and if its decent to ride. I was thinking of buying it as its for sale at the moment for 10 and was going to turn it into a commuter bike to work? Anyone think it would a be a decent buy?

Here a link to the bike in question if anyone fancies a look:

Many thanks in advance to anyone that helps and hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks for the advice, I'm only really curious in it cause I'm using my dad's old Viking Vision MTB and whilst he's saying I could use it as long as I want, I still want to give it back to him eventually. Though would it be worth just keeping my dads bike or giving the Carrera a shot?

Pictures of stuff are limited information, you need a companion that has a bit of mechanical savvy
to go with you to check it out, in person ..
