Cheap Cycling Shorts Without Padding

Where might I find cheap cycling shorts without any padding online? I am looking for something to wear under light shorts so I don't feel quite so naked when the wind blows them up a bit, but I don't need any of the padding or other such nonsense. They don't even have to be cycling specific.

Search of cycling briefs w/o chamois.

You're looking for compression shorts. Wally-World has some back in the sporting goods area alongside the jocks-straps and other assorted underbit holders. Or you can visit one of your local sporting good establishments and probably find something. UnderArmour makes em, but they're damn expensive. Amazon sells em online for about $24, the aforementioned Wally-World variant is about $11.

I wear em underneath my cycling specific shorts/bibs. If you run into problems with the seams rubbing, turn em inside out.

How about lycra runner's shorts? As a recumbent rider, I don't need the pad, so that's what I use. If I really like the shorts, the pad can always be removed...

That's a lot of help; I wasn't sure exactly what they were called.

Go to your local department store. You should be able to pick something up for about $10.

I agree with the lycra runner's shorts. I, too, ride a recumbent, and my favorite riding shorts look just like cycling shorts (draw string, long, almost to the knee), are made by Insport, and sold at Academy Sporting Goods for $19.99. They also sell some lighter ones for even less, that would work well for wearing under something else.
