Trying to find the right fenders for a Cannondale Trail 7 Mountain Bike

Pretty much what the title suggests. I'm looking to go on a tour across the country, and would like a set of fenders. I went into my local bike shop looking to buy a set of Planet Bike Full ATB's and they told me that they wouldn't fit my bike. He said the rear one would probably fit, but I'd need some special kind of fender for the front, because of the suspension. Unfortunately he didn't have any other fenders at his shop, so I decided to take it to the internet. I'm not 100% sure what I'm looking for though. Any suggestions?

Here's the link to my specific bike: http://www.cannondale.com/2013/trail-7

Thanks!

They will fit, you'll just need to swap tires and do some MacGyvering. I've run 1.95" studded knobbies under mine, and they just fit. 2.1" knobbies would prolly be too wide. If you're going to be street riding, you should swap to slicks anyway,so this really isn't an issue. For the rear, you'll just need a longer bolt and spacer on the left to clear the brake caliper;any decent hardware store can hook you up. For the front,it looks like the fork bridge has a hole for the top mount, you'll just need a different bolt. For the lower mounts,it doesn't look like you have them on the fork,so you'll need a set of P clamps, also available at hardware stores.
