Help with choosing cleats!

Hi all,
I've picked up a used bike which has Wellgo M17R single sided pedals. I've also picked up a pair of Giro Apeckx shoes (for €28 new!!).

My question is, what cleats should i buy for the shoe/pedal combo? I can't really find any info online about these pedals, they're a few years old so it figures i suppose.

Thanks for the help guys!

Some Wellgo pedals are SPD compatible, some only take Wellgo cleats. Not sure which ones, but for my money, if you want decent recessed cleat pedals I would try to find some Crank Brothers. I have Egg Beaters on my bike and my wife has Candys.

Cheers demon!
Bike and shoes have wiped me out a bit. Looking just for cleats for the time being before changing pedals. Probably for the entry shimanos (M520 i think).
Apparently, these pedals are SPD compatible. So where would that leave me? SM-SH51 cleats?

51 are single release- for a new clipless rider, I might think about the 55, which is their multi-release cleat. It is a bit easier to get out of the pedal.

SH56, I think. I had 51s for a long time and got 56s when they came with a new pair of pedals. They are very easy to clip out of.

Of course, if you're a sprinter they wouldn't be the right ones for you.

Welgo Spud cleats are almost like Shimano's but not quite ..
