Decent Cable Lock

Is there a decent lock cable on the market?

I actually don't want the lock and cable combo.

I have heard tale of manufacturers using aluminum crimps to close the loops ...

Decent Cable Lock

You heard of this style? www.the-interlock.com I want to get one but I'll wait for some else to chime in.

Needing a long cable for touring to lock to bigger trees I got the aluminum crimp to make my own

believe me once the crimp was slammed tight wit a hammer, its not going to open again.

Best cable? Armored inside interlocking steel segments http://www.abus.com/eng/Mobile-Secur...eel-O-Flex-950

I like chain locks http://www.abus.com/eng/Mobile-Secur...el-O-Chain-880

and their folding lock .. http://www.abus.com/eng/Mobile-Secur...it-X-Plus-6500

adequate, when no one wants to cut it ... the braided type .. Trek has something like it , now . double loop ..
that may be what you asked about..

the aluminum crips can easily be cut away with a simple pair of diags (diagonal pliers).

how long does that take? have you done it?

looks pretty beefy. I have the 1518 which is less strong but still a good bit heftier than the usual. Still, any cable is iffy.

I have that lock but I use it in the back of my truck through an eye bolt. The lock is for my folding bike and works fine but it's not flexible at all. Lowes had them on clearance once upon a time.
