Bicycle Tour Guide/Jobs

Alright its been a very long time since I posted in this forum but I've always had great responses from people here and I have an inquiry that perhaps you folks might know about. I live in New Orleans. I run my own very tiny (just me) Walking Tour business (www.nolatourguy.com) and I love it, It gives me plenty of free time, I'm my own boss and only employee but as you could imagine tourism drops off something fierce here in the summer and in the summer I get a bit of the wanderlust so I'm thinking about finding some kind of summer job ideally in Alaska maybe as a bicycle tour guide or maybe as part of the team for one of those supported bike tours, the ones where you pay a fee to join and they set up your camp site every night. I know I'd be good at this kind of thing, I'm the kind of guy who people feel very comfortable around and I'm great at making people laugh (a natrual tour guide) and it would be an intresting experience. The one problem is I don't have any sort of formal training or references besides my business ranking fairly high on trip advisor. Anyone out there in the tourism industry or in Alaska and can give me any advice or point me in a direction?

I clicked on the first thing Bing gave me after putting "Alaska bike tours" in the box- hiring for the 2014 season.

There don't appear to be any jobs going in Alaska with Backroads, but you might keep an eye on what's coming up. They've got tours all over the place:

Or maybe you could investigate this organisation ... they were the first ones that came up when I did a google search:

Oh, I see nomad came up with the same result.

A friend of mine was doing some crewing for Pac Tours, and they had some kind of an arrangement where crewing got you time on a tour. IE, not an actual job, but a good way to wander the country without having to pay.
