Wheel/spoke lights, front or rear?
If you only have one wheel light/spoke light, would you mount it on the front wheel or rear wheel? Reasoning?

my vote is for the front. maybe it will help light the ground around your tire giving you a little extra light to see what you're riding on at night.

I have one, and did put it on the rear because seeing all of that flashing and carrying on made me crazy.

Reelights come in Pairs they face forward and aft. the magnet and the sensor are both on the wheel
the spokes have the magnets, the light bracket on the axle..

I'm mainly thinking of the Nite Ize spokelit. I tend to mount it on the rear so cars behind me could see some of the peripheral illumination, with the exception of the Disc-O, which keeps changing color, so when I have it in the rear, I find myself keep looking back at it, not safe for me.

Front wheel, it's the first one people generally see at intersections, especially if one is using rear panniers.

Wear belt and suspenders when it comes to lights and get one for both wheels.

I use one on the rear wheel. I had one on the front, but it was too distracting for me. I have many other attention-grabbers, so it's not essential for me to have a light on my front wheel.

I previously thought rear is better. Now I think front is better, because the front wheel makes more turns, and as it turns the light will be visible to the vehicles in various directions including behind and in front.
