performance/nashbar/supergo pecking order
Is there a pecking order or hierarchy for these three stores,
since they're apparently the same parent company?
I.e, does one have lower prices, or higher-end products,
or perhaps they target different market segments?
Thanks all

I think they kind of cater to different markets... Performance has more high-end stuff, I guess it's aimed more at racers and higher-end guys who like to do-it-themselves. Nashabr has more of a hobbyist/tourist/retrogrouch aim in terms of the products that they sell: they offer things like fixed gear hubs, fenders, cheap knock-off touring frames, weird handlebars, old freewheel hubs, lots of Brooks saddles.
Nashbar is often a bit cheaper for the things they have in common, but with Performance you can join as a member and then get 10% credit for the things you buy.
I mostly buy from Nashbar now, but there's a Performance store nearby so I go there.

If I have my facts right they did not start out with the same parent company, Performance bought the other two out later. I don't think they made too many changes since they purchased the other companies. I agree with moxfyre with Supergo being even higher end than Performance.

I check all three before I purchase anything. The prices are dynamic and change frequently. I find prices are most often the same, however occassionaly the item I want is listed for less at one of the retailers. I also check the online coupons regularly.
For instance: Last week I was in need of a Shimano Ultegra 9 speed cassette.
Supergo $57.00
Nashbar $57.95
Performancebikes $38.99
However, if you check today, the prices from all three are the same.

I have to chime in on Nashbars "returned goods" section. Everything is guaranteed as new in original packing. I've bought many things from there and have never been disappointed.

I called Nashbar the other day and the operator greeted me with "Performance Bicyc..uh..Nashbar, how can I help you?" So, it seems the call center is the same (at least for those two) or the operator had recently changed companies.

IME I've had better (and quicker) luck with Performance. I've not really had ANY bad experiences with any of the 3, but with the Team Performance upgraded shipping it's generally quicker and cheaper, (before the 20% coupons).

I have nothing but good experience with Nashbar and Supergo, but only bad with Performance. It got to the point them that I will not use them anymore. Just my two cents.

And there is PricePoint.com whom I found to have better deals at times. I think that Nashbar is good for their low end parts and occasional mid-range parts sale. Performance is good for their basic clothing if your not into flash, their clearance stuff, and tubes deals, Supergo is good for high end stuff (only when it is on sale).
