I name them very generically, the "Red", "The Hybrid", "The chromoly"

Thanks deeth82. She's special to me. She had been battered, abused, and left for dead when I found her. Getting her to where she is today didn't happen overnight, but she's worth it. I'm quite sure she's travelled further with me than with her previous owner(s). I almost wish I had a "before" photo, but I'm sure she's glad that I don't.

All my bikes had names... always. In order...

'76 Raleigh - "Greenie" because it was green
'78 Leader MX - "#9 " as that was on the number plate; had the gas tank plastic fairing too!
'80 Leader BMX - "#12 " as that was on the number plate
'83 Raleigh 12-speed - alternatly "POS" & "the Beast" because the friction headlight slowed me down
'86 McKinley Mountainer - "McK"... was eating alot at McD's
'99 CCM Cliffrunner II - started as "Bob" because that's what it did when you rode it, but as that's derogatory I then switched to "Cliff"
'03 Schwinn RD700 - "Cynder"; the only one I identify as female (?)
'08 Specialized Allez Elite - "Fiver" in honor of one of my favorite rabbits
'12 Trek 4900 HT Disc.- was thinking of something f'd up relating to Slipknot; thinking of the 'Subliminal Verses' album cover as was riding down the street past a... STAPLES! Has since morphed to be "Blister"

So there you have it... Greenie, #9 , #12 , the Beast, McK, Cliff, Cynder, Fiver & Blister
