Does a Chris King Red Headset Match a Lynskey Headbadge?

Just curious about this... I don't have my new Lynskey frame yet, so I don't have it on-hand to compare the red in the head badge, nor do I have any Chris King red parts, so I thought I'd ask here... Another contender is the Cane Creek 110 headset, also available in red. From looking at online pictures (for what that's worth) the Chris King looks to be a little deeper red, so I'm thinking it might be the better match.

It doesn't match exactly. The original owner of my Sportive built it up with a CK headset. I'm actually thinking of swapping in a black one, and I have a lot of red on my bike.

Thanks for the reply; it's been a bit difficult trying to find an answer. My original thought was that sticking with black would be the safer bet, as the headset is anodized and I'm assuming the badge is painted (or something similar). Now I just have to decide between the Chris King and the Cane Creek 110 headset...

The badge is enameled- very nicely made. When I got the bike, it needed a good cleaning. I tool off the head badge (it is on with screws) and polished it up on the bench machine. It glows in the dark now. Need to strip the whole works at some point and really shine it all up.

Are they both anodized aluminum ? apparently not.

If they were, the red dye applied to the anodized surface, could be the same ..

Of Dyes in general, red seems to fade over time ..

you hire a custom made aluminum head badge ,
then maybe CK will hang it in the same anodizing bath and Dye,
they use for the rest of their stuff..

When you're trying to match colors there's "perfect match" and there's "not exactly". Most of the time "not exactly" looks like crap.
