Anyone improve on the one pictured, which have weak seals and fail witout much use?
Why bend your back to top up pressure when you can do it with your legs. Especially guys with the older/bad backs?

It depends on how you use a floor pump. I don't think floor pumps are meant to be used by bending your back. Rather, the floor pump is best used when the back is kept mostly straight and the legs do the work. That means the arms are not bent at the elbows. The body weight is used and the knees are bent as the handle is pushed down. The downward push is a quick thrust, rather than a slow body lean.

That foot pump looks like there might be an imbalance. It would require one foot on that elevated pedal and the other foot on the ground.
