What do you carry ?

Taking inventory of what I carry when I ride, I'm wondering if I'm taking to much and if there is a better way of doing it. I have a fairly good size saddle pack on my bike and also carry a fanny pack around my waist. I carry the following:
One new tube, a few sticks of gum, 3 tire levers, small patch tube kit, a small pack of kneenex, a small first aid kit, tweezers (for getting hard objects out of the tire), cell phone, house key, small tube (film tube size) of chamois buttr, a couple cliff bars and a couple dollars of change. I don't carry any tools because I wouldn't know how to fix something major if it broke, that's my husband's job. Most of the time I ride alone. Any suggestions?

if that works for you then keep carring that.

Myself I carry 2 tubes, a patch kit, 2 tire levers ( could get away with just 1), a small mini-tool (mostly to tighten any loose screws). all of that is in my seat bag.

I have a frame pump on the bike too.

I carry my cell phone, garage door opener and any food in my jersey pockets

Not to carry over from my other thread, but I usually carry a small multi-tool. You might not be comfortable doing major work on your bike, but you might want/need to adjust your seat or tighten something. I took a fall the other day and somehow twisted my seat out of alignment. It would have been a very uncomfortable ride home if I hadn't been able to loosed the seat post and re-align it. I also second the frame pump - you have the spare tube, but no way to inflate it!

i posted in the other thread...and the other one...not again :)

What, no lawn chair? That's really roughing it.

I used to bring that along but it seemed completely silly.

In all seriousness, I carry two tire levers, a spare tube and a frame pump. That's all. If riding alone I'll bring a multi tool.

1 tube, MTB pump (small), 3 tyre evers that clip together to form a set, $20 note, cell phone, house keys, multi-tool and I have a small card with my details on it in case I get KOd or really badly hurt . All in jersey pockets. I have deliberately sourced the smallest things I can find.

I gotta ask: Why the extra buttr? I'm of the opnion that most people don't ride enough to even need the stuff. But extra? Do you stop on the side of the road on occasion and apply more?
