tires for my wheels
Hello everyone
I want to replace the tires on my fuji absolute 1.3
I have 700x25 tiers on Vera Corsa double-wall alloy rims. i have seen a 700x28 tyer on the same rim on a different bike from fuji. can anyone offer any guidance as to what the maximum size tire i can put on these rims. Id like to go up to a 30 or 32mm.

What kind of brakes does your bike have?
If you have caliper brakes, 28 mm is usually the widest that will fit. Some bikes will also have clearance issues between the chain stays or under the fork crown.

I don't know for sure, but a quick Google shows recent models either V brake or disc equipped, and with roomy forks, so I'd wager 32s won't be a problem. Best to have the input of someone with either specific experience with the bike, or someone who can actually look. That, or just buy 'em and return 'em if they don't fit.

With the 28's on the bike, look at every point where they get closest to the fork/stays/brakes and see if there is an extra 4 mm, plus whatever clearance you want in every dimension. I would go for at least 7 or 8 mm clearance on the 28s to feel comfortable going to 32s, so if the closest your tires gets to anything is > 7 mm, then I would try 32s.
On my primary rider, a Trek 7.3 FX, I fit 40 mm tires for a while... I could barely take the rear wheel off without deflating the tire, but they worked fine. I run 35s now.
