I almost clicked on the link, but I really don't want to give that outfit any more clicks. I ranked our fair city a few years back for one of their awards, in part because I'm the only every day cycling commuter the city coordinator knows. In retrospect, their city awards must be funded by "engineering" firms that design bicycle infrastructure. Miles of bike routes? Good. Bike routes signed where no sensible cyclist would ride, through heavy traffic, narrow, pot-holed lanes, and no escape route possible? Meh. Bike lane run up hills that roadies tackle for a challenge and MTB'ers coast down after climbing up through the woods? What am I, anti-cycling??
