Bike wont shift gears after a fall.
 

I was biking a week ago and the kickstand was still up and as I made a turn, i fell hard. I noticed my bike doesnt shift gears anymore. This (Screenshot by Lightshot NOT MY A PIC OF MY BIKE) was originally lodged into the tire but I moved it out and it functions but gears wont switch. I dont know if it has to do with that thing linked above. I can provide more pics if needed.

Your front derailer could be bent, out of alignment with the chainrings, or the cable may have slipped.

Can you provide more detail about the shifter moving or not, the derailleur moving or not. Etc...

Get thee to a Bike Shop !

Stay away from a bike shop and keep your wallet in your pocket. This is not rocket science. Just Google on the term How to adjust a front derailleur on YouTube You will have dozens of tutorials to choose from including some that are specific to Shimano brand which is the type you have.

The other possibility is that you damaged the shifter on your handlebars. Did it contact the ground? Even if it were broken, a complete replacement twist grip shifter (the most common shift mechanism) runs about $15 on eBay and installation is easy. You can find that online too.
