Of course not. A rider should choose the type of the handlebar that they believe lets them ride safely in their specific riding environment. For some riders, it may be flat handlebars. For others, it may be drop handlebars. For yet others, either will do.

Flat bars offer a more upright riding position and the added width, compared to drop-bars, can contribute to improved control. However, drop-bars improve aerodynamics and provide several hand position. Both are very popular and both have merit. Bikes and bike equipment is highly varied and not a one-size-fits-all object.

This pretty much I like flat bars with bar ends and you can also attach aero bars if you want as well
