Aquaintances who want to hit you

I would like to read your comments, serious or funny.

Does anyone ride while knowing of people who personally want to hit you?

I have people who I know want to hit me. Recently I started riding only special rides that I drive to, and running instead of riding.

********************?

Do you mean like angry family members or co-workers who want to run you down and cause serious harm or death?

905 06-14-14 01:06 PM

It's never occurred to me to ask.

OldsCOOL 06-14-14 03:43 PM

I remind them I'm not worth their trouble. Ride on.

no1mad 06-14-14 03:58 PM

Me personally, no. Cyclists in general, yes.

Northwestrider 06-14-14 04:02 PM

No, why would I wish to take a pleasurable activity ( riding) and add a level of stress to it.

shelbyfv 06-14-14 06:13 PM

Probably you will never see them coming. If they told you they wanted to run over you it was to distract you from their real plan for your demise. You should get your affairs in order, sounds like your days are numbered.

Maybe you should talk to the police.

Absolutely. Everybody wants to hit me. Danger in cycling is what makes the sport great. Bring on the crazies.

I want the crazies to stay away, let alone enemies.

Lone, maybe the best solution would be to bury the hatchet with your enemies?

fietsbob 06-15-14 09:10 AM

Anyone here under the Witness Protection Program ? :roflmao:

Hyperventilate 06-15-14 12:27 PM

I am a Law Enforcement Officer, a lot of individuals wants to hit and Hit me. There are parts of my district were I wouldn't even contemplate cycling.

RamahX 06-15-14 12:32 PM

Confused... you mean someone in a group ride verbally communicated they wanted to punch you? OP needs to chime in and clarify...

The one guy I know of for sure, got convicted on terroristic threatening.

Don't be silly...they'd just poison my water bottle.

RPK79 06-16-14 09:16 AM

Paranoia it will destroy ya.

RaleighSport 06-16-14 09:18 AM

I always get.. the "I hate cyclists, not ones like you, but I want to run them off the rode" then you drive with those people.. and you see them practically begin to froth at the mouth the second they see a cyclist, riding legally/safely or not.. just the sight of one ahead seems to set these people off.

WestPablo 06-16-14 10:40 AM

Man__, you must NOT be living right! :D

delcrossv 06-16-14 02:51 PM

Did you make the mistake of letting them know they are beneficiaries on your life insurance policy?
