a possible feature for a bike computer ...?

I use a simple bike computer, a Sigma BC 5.12. I paid €15 for it and it does exactly what I want a basic bike computer to do.

While I realize a thief can and will always circumvent any anti theft feature, most if not all bike computers can be easily and quickly removed from the bike by you or by a thief.

Wouldn't it be nice if bike computers incorporated an opening to accept a plastic tie?

Just now I came back from the gym and during my workout realized I had forgotten to remove my bike computer. If it were semi permanently attached to my handle bar I wouldn't have given it a second thought.

What do you think?

wouldnt do them much good unless they took wiring and all. Doubt any thief would take the time. Id only worry if you have the fancy ones with gps then Id make sure to take unit with me

My Touring bike has an antique computer , Its main benefit is it is mounted low on the front of the right fork blade [not on the handle bars]

I mounted it just under the cantilever brake and above the top of the low rider rack .. so its out of sight.

( I only use the odometer and resettable trip function, anyhow & I can stop and look)

Some Computers are a PIA to get off their brackets , as it is ..
