This thread is for all Atlanta area bike commuters and those who are thinking about commuting but haven't taken that first big step.

May is Bike Month, May 16-20 is Bike to Work Week, and Bike to Work Day is Friday, May 20.

The Atlanta Bicycle Campaign (my employer :o ) will once again provide Bike Trains to high-employment density areas. (A Bike Train is a caravan of cyclists following a specific route on a set schedule). If you'd like to join us as part of a bike train, or if you'd like to suggest a route for a bike train (from and to any part of the metro area), or to offer your leadership as a bike train "engineer", or if you just want more details about bike trains, please send me a PM or you can email me at work -- atlantabikeclass@mindspring.com.

Watch for more details on bike train routes and schedules in coming weeks on our website.

I wish Knoxville would do something like this. As bad as our traffic problem is, it'd be nice to see some people start cycling to work instead of driving.

Have you contacted any of the bike clubs or bike advocacy organizations in Knoxville?
I only found one club listed on the LAB website -- http://www.smwbike.org/

Maybe you could get the word out through bike shops and group rides.
Contact LAB for assistance.
