You start to think that bike jerseys are normal apparel to wear to work.

You have to sit and read the new Nashbar/Performance catalog even if it makes you late for work.

You drive your bike commute route, rather than using the freeway "just to check it out" on the days that you can't bike into work.

Your co-workers call you the "crazy biker woman".

Not only does your bike mechanic know you by name, he remembers everything you have done to your bike, and had done to it. Also, all of the employees in the shop know you by name, not just the mechanics. (and this in a relatively large town)

Your wife hears lustful moaning, panting and muttering '...gonna strip you down and ride you hard...' from the computer room and expects to find you in the dark drooling over pron, but instead you're salivating overthe latest bike models on the net...now she thinks you're weird.

When walking you, glance at where your third-eye mirror would be, to see behind you.

Bikes and parts have overtaken your garage.

RPM in the car makes sense to you, because you understand cadence.

"Tour de France" means more to you than a tour of French vineyards.

You try to squeeze between two cars in traffic, only to realize that you are in a car, and have just created a massive wreck.

When going to fuel up your car, you find yourself carrying your bike and lock down your apartments stairs.

You lean into a turn driving your car.

You take a short-cut down an alley only to remember that it isn't a short cut when driving the stupid car.

When in a social situation where you are the only cyclist,
You have to keep reminding yourself,
"Don't talk about bikes, they don't care, they won't understand!"

You ignore your watch and ride hours past your bedtime.

This happened last night. I knew the rain was coming and I wanted to squeeze in all the miles I could. I need to get some rain gear.

Then someone asks something about bike. Then they don't understand anything you said.

When you consider cancelling band practice because you'd rather ride than rock.

I didn't cancel, but this week I planned practice on the day they forcasted rain. That's today! Why I had to pick two of the most cash consuming hobbies, I'll never know.

When you research every college basketball team in the NCAA tournament to try and win an office pool so that you can get extra money to spend on the bike! And....then....you win the office pool for $250 and you don't know what to get first!!!!!

I decided to spend $225 on a professional bike fitting....which leaves me with $25 to get the little things that I need (tubes, lube etc....)

I second that. I still don't know all the ways to get around my town's freeways. It's embarassing when I'm asked simple directions and I don't know the answer.
