Ok guys,

I'm sure youre tired of me and this question but I cant help it.

I've been posting lately, should I buy a Trek 7300 fx, Specialized Sirrus, or I just came across what i think might be a great buy, a Gary Fisher Uptopia for $450 used.

What do you think would be the best buy? I'm not real familar with Fisher or its products but they seem to be pretty good bikes. Is this a great buy or should I just stick to my original plan?

Here's my deal. Im riding in a triathlon in June. I want a bike that is going to be efficient for the triathlon and also a bike that I can ride in the neighborhood afterwards. I can put smaller tires on either bike mentioned above.

Which one would you buy? Is $450 a good deal for this bike. Its a 21" 2004.

Hehe, I knew I could count on you PWRD. Ive been doing a lot of research and all of you guys have been great. I was mostly curious about the Gary Fisher. I know it coosts more than the others so I thought it might be a great buy.

Yes, same bike. 2005 GF Uptopia 21". Why do you like the GF over the others?

I've got an 02 Fisher Utopia and it's an awesome bike. I've found that I don't really need the suspension fork, so if that's an issue for you, go with the Trek 7500fx. Then again, for $450, you could afford to swap out the fork if you wanted to and still be money ahead. I ride with a buddy who has a Specialized Sirrus and that's a great ride, too. I've found that the Utopia is pretty much bomb-proof. I've hit some wicked potholes and taken it on crushed gravel trails and it's come through like a champ. Good luck with your choice.

I'm gonna have to agree with Raiyn on this...bike do fit differently, and you're going to HATE it if the bike doesn't ride how you want it to, me personally I'd go with a Kona Dr. Dew :D Once I'm down in weight some :p

Like Raiyn said, GF uses genesis geometry(which is just theri own special geometry) so you should test ride before you buy.

Actually you should test ride any bike before you buy.
