Kryptonite KryptoLok Series 2 Bicycle U-Lock w/ 4-Foot Flex Cable -good lock??

First off, I am not in a high crime area and my bike is only worth ~ $200. I see a deal on these and was wondering if it is a decent lock. I have heard that there were problems with other models of locks that I believe was a different model number and has since been recalled. Is this any good?

This is the same lock and cable I have and use. The shackle is long enough to go through both seatstays, through the wheel and to a secure object like a bike-rack or pole, and the cable is long enough to secure the front wheel to the shackle. Despite being sorta heavy (a few pounds) it's not the *most* cut-resistant lock like the "New York" series, and doesn't have a dual-locking shackle but it's more than good enough for every location I feel comfortable locking my bike.

If you're referring to the problem of being able to pick the lock with a Bic pen, that problem has been solved by not using cylindrical keys any more.
