£$*&%$ sky/eurosport

Well I live in the UK and all I want is a bit of cycling coverage... I thought, hmm, paris-roubaix, thats a big race, surely that'll be on one of the 5 or 6 sport channels... What do I get? 3 channels of bloody soccer, one with 6 hours of the motorbikes and some other crap on the others... nothing but a 45 minute package of edited highlights and that on the channel that not even the pubs have because it costs too much to subscribe to. Then I log on to cycling.tv and what do I see? A fuzzed out screen and a scrolling message saying that they apologise but they don't have broadcast rights in my location. So not only cant I watch it for nothing, I cant even watch it if I pay for it!!!!! Is there anyone living in the UK who knows of a way that I can watch a bit of cycling every now and again, or is it just another game of wait until tour time...

Move to Denmark. The 2nd biggest channel TV2 and sister channel TV2 Zulu (both of which is free to watch) shows all the classic races, plus Tdf, and Vuelta. I sometimes get Channel 4 (UK tv) if I point my father in laws antenna across the North Sea, so maybe it is worth a try

Wow, three channels of soccer.... I'm jealous, I usually have to get up at 6:00 AM on Saturday morning to catch a game with my beloved Red Devils.

6:00am saturday - sounds like the BEST time of the week to go riding.... I woud trade you all this football in a second for a decent bit of coverage of at least the major races of the calendar. Thw worst thing about the whole arrangement is the fact that they have purchased the rights to broadcast, and in doing so deny the right of cycling.tv to broadcast, but then they decide not to show it at all. I can't believe that I live less than 200 miles from where the race actually is and there is NO WAY POSSIBLE that I can watch it. GRRRRRRRR

hey scroz
am in the uk ..what you need is the old sky system not digital ...probs with last sun with paris-roubaix was due to more money being paid for the motor racing it was out of eurosports hands..normal it gets great coverage

Thanks dude, that was the answer I was looking for!! :) At least there is hope for me yet... How do you get original sky, and what are the differences between it and digital (as regard programming)
