Looking for an organized century in S. MN, N. IA, or SW WI

The title pretty much sums it up. I live in Des Moines and there isn't much if anything going on with organized centuries. Bit of a disappointment actually. So I'm looking for a good ride to go do and maybe meet up with fellow BF members. I'd like to head north (from where I live) because I like the scenery there but I'm open to other places as well within a reasonable drive. Any ideas? I've been googling in all the wrong places apparently because I haven't found much.

I'd start here: Midwest Bicycle Rides for 2014

My club sponsors the Udder Century on June 1, but Union, IL, might be a tad far for you to go. If not, check it out at our totally goofy website: Udder Century

Cool beans; thanks. Great, great website (both the midwest rides one and the udder century one). I was hoping to find something in and around the driftless region to ride some hills though.

The Toughest One-Day Challenge Ride in the Midwest - Horribly Hilly Hundreds - Blue Mounds, WI

Looks closed for 2014, unless you can find someone who'll transfer their registration.

It's only a metric century (62mi) but I'm planning this one one Sept 13. Only $25 and should be plenty hilly. Pretty good roads, great scenery and it is the driftless area. Home

I know that's a pretty bike riding area; good for you for putting this together.

Here are some lists of the rides.

Upcoming Bike Rides & Tours | Minnesota Trails
Events | Pedal Minnesota
Weekend bicycle tours in the Upper Midwest: 2015

If you want to meet a lot of riders, try the Minnesota Ironman. Quite well run and organized.
