Michigan Mountain Mayhem Gravel Grinder
The Gravel Grinder is less than 3 weeks away. "October 3rd"
The Gravel Grinder will be a gravel road race like nothing you could have imagined. This event is limited to 2000 riders. You can expect a huge purse of $12,300 as well as some of the fastest racers in the Country.
There will be a 18 mile, a 45 mile and a 60 mile race. The 18 mile race is very flat, but the 45 and 60 mile races will have lots of very fast hard packed gravel roads mixed with technical seasonal roads as well as long steep climbs, which will test your mental sanity. The 60 mile route will have a KOM (king of the Mountain contest) with an additional $500 spiff for both top men and women racers.
Registration includes a huge lunch with vegetarian options. Extra meals are available for non riders. Short's Brewing Company will be on hand with some of the best beers anywhere. All this and more will be inside a finish area tent and will be heated if necessary.

Really looking forward to this!!! My first MM event. I can handle some hills... but decided to wimp out and just do the incredible FLAT 20 mile loop! LOL!
