You don't have to be a cyclist to enjoy the fun of the 11th Annual Green Cruise Festival! There will be live music, face painting, complementary food and beverage, vendors, acrobatic street performers, a giveaway of 25 free bicycle helmets, bike decorating stations, and a grand parade at 1p.m.! At 1:30p.m. a Detroit Bikes bicycle will be raffled off so make sure to buy your raffle ticket!

The Sierra Club-sponsored Green Cruise (1)8 am 42-mile bicycle ride to Belle Isle. sub-groups of at least two paces, 3 official stops including Tim Hortons, 7201 E. Jefferson, Detroit, to purchase a snack (we offer free bagels and bananas before the ride) OR (2)9 am 22-mile bicycle include a ride down Main St. in Royal Oak and a new route through Birmingham. Either Pay ride includes: maps, cue sheets, pavement markings, , emergency cell #’s, sag wagon, organized ride leaders. Preregistration ($10 + $1.52 handling fee), credit card registration at the event $15, a bike corral at the event to check you bicycle, and 1/2 mile noon parade celebrating non-fossil fuel transportation. The perfect event for newer cyclists or for families with little ones who want to join the fun! Please arrive early to give yourself time to find parking - or better yet, ride your bike to this wonderful celebration of non-fossil fuel transportation!
