The BRIGHT Ride - Cincinnati December 16 - Decorate Your Bike!
On Friday, December 16th, 2011, cyclists from all over the Cincinnati area are invited to decorate their bicycles - and themselves - with lights and things that twinkle, sparkle, and glow.
Bikes are works of art and design already - combine them with artistic additions that will show in the dark and we'll have something special. All of the riders together will create a temporary, vibrant spectacle for everyone to enjoy.
Riders will meet in Northside's Hoffner Park at 7:00 PM. All your twinkle lights already in the yard? No worries -- ArtsWave will have some glow bracelets, necklaces, and (battery-powered) lights to share.
The group will travel from Northside to Downtown via Spring Grove Avenue and Central Parkway, around Fountain Square to enjoy the decorations, and continue to Over-the-Rhine to engage in other holiday activities happening in the area that evening. (Want a short ride? Just join us at Coffee Emporium downtown at 7:45.)
You can see the ride map here. This is a slow and steady ride - it's pretty short and flat.
Glowing public art-on-bikes? Merry and bright! And guaranteed to make people smile.
RSVP for the ride here or on Facebook!
