hmm...i am seriously considering signing up for the 40 mile polar bear ride...looking at the route, looks like i can use my 23 wheels on the road bike and actually go on a faster ride...just don't want to sign up and then not show up if the weather is 10F with 4" of snow...if the temp is in the 20's and the roads are dry, i'd definitely be in...
anyone else doing this!?

lopek...i'd offer to give you a ride if you could make it to royal oak...but my trunk fits only one bike, and there is a good chance i might have to rush back right after the event - actually, i might not even make it there
you might wanna post something in the se michigan thread: https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...heast-Michigan

Lopek - glad you made it - cashed in some vouchers with the mrs. and was able to make it as well (wife and little daughter met up at the brewery afterward which made it even better!!!)
it was a fantastic event!!! thanks for sharing the link for the event, and hope to be there again next year!!!
by the way, i was the bigger guy with the castelli jacket falling back every incline - one of the dozen or so who took their road bikes and 23mm tires...was able to finish the ride with the first group, but i have many hill repeats in my future!!
