Mighty TOSRV 2014
What a ride.
Two broken spokes. That kills the quads until the next stop when you don't open your brakes up!
One flat.
One wreck - and a wrecked knee.
Lost glove - after the wreck.
One caught in thundershower with hail - almost blew us into traffic - EVERYTHING soaked.
Couple thousand great people.
Wonderful support staff.
Wonderful traveling mechanics.
Plenty of food.
Great finish line.
PRICELESS.
Unofficial finish line.

I also rode this year's TOSRV - my first! I did a lot of reading about it this winter so I was prepared for any conditions. Regardless of the weather conditions leading up to he ride, I did a lot of training - glad I did. As I pulled into Columbus at 3 PM on Sunday, another rider pulled up next to me at a red light. I asked him "do you know where the finish line is?" His reply - "I don't know? - This is the fourth time in this event and this is the first time I finished!" - kind of sums it up. I am happy to say I finished also and no mechanical problems. I don't know why I waited until I was 61 to ride the TOSRV!
