Bike tour recommendation Ohio

Doing initial research on my first overnight bike trip. I live around the Cleveland area and am wondering what (if any) routes are recommended for 40/50 mile each way trips? If kids and life do not permit I may get uncreative and just do 40 mi on the tow path, camp in the nat park (discretely, leave no trace...etc) or ride the emerald necklace of metro parks, or try to find some route along Lake Erie. Would be greatful for any suggestions.

Depending on what part of town you reside, Findley State Park may be a possibility. Camping, showers, MTB trails, all within 40-50 miles of Cleveland.

I've enjoyed doing the tow path, going south out of Cleveland. Normally, I like to spend the night in/around Massillon, then ride back the next day. Of course, this is a slightly more than 50 miles, but it's not bad at all. You can also tie this to the "bike aboard" train that runs along the tow path up to Akron if you are looking to mix it up or don't want to bike up the hills. And Akron to Cleveland is all down hill on the second day.

Plus, there are many side trails in Massillon, so if you want to extend the trip, you have options. Or rent a kayak part way. It's all good.

Here's my short journal from a few years ago. I need to do this one again.
