I just ride for exercise and my health, but I took my son out for his first ride today. He rode my old Trek 970. We did 11 miles on the Macomb-Orchard rail trail.

I finally got out and rode today. I just moved into a dorm at school, so haven't had a chance. Got up early this morning though. I forgot my dad had bug-fogged the garage before I left, and didn't wash my bottles, so I nearly poisoned myself to death. Other than that, it was a great ride, but I think I saw a bike ninja, the bad kind.

On 6/18 did 50 miles

On 6/20 did 85 miles on the prarie path from Berkley to Aurora, the path really sucks in Aurora, well maybe not...it's just so poorly marked, did some exploring on the way back and found the fox river path really crowded. I think next time I'm sticking to my north branch trail to Kenosha, easeir to do a 100 on.

I did just a bit under 13 miles today riding around Fishers - https://tinyurl.com/3x8fblz
Trying to get myself in good enough shape to ride the Hilly Hundred in October.

The MTB trails at John Bryan state park finally dried out and were open to riding. It's been weeks, since I've been able to set knobbies to dirt.

Of course, there's more rain coming.

6/24 - 42.5 miles
6/25 - 34 miles
Two days of riding around Lake Geneva area. Rode on White River Trail first day. Rode around the big lake second day.

7/3 - 41 miles
Rode out to Aux Sable Access along I&M Canal Trail west of Tabler Rd. and back.

Haven't been riding as much as in years past. (Work, etc.)
Gotta Work on the 4th...kinda sucks but weather not supposed to be as great as today was.

7/3 100.9 miles

Met up with some people that help run the Tour de Cure in Michigan, and quite a few members from Infinite Triathlon Club and rode the century route. Ended up riding with one oft he Tour directors and 2 people from Infinite. Beat my ride time from last month by almost 15 minutes.

Had a friend from work over today for a ride. He lives in the Twin Cities and doesn't get to ride in the rural areas often. I drew up a 50 mile loop that circled River Falls, and hit the local climbs, over 2300' of elevation, one of them at 16% for part of it. He kicked my arse!

Just under 80 miles in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Climbed my first mountain pass, had a minor black bear encounter, and saw too many beautiful vistas to count. Maybe the best bike ride I've ever ridden.

Did 11 Miles this evening locally. Just started bicycling as a means to keep this old body in some sort of shape. A new retirement past time. 16 Miles Saturday and 9 last night. Good thing the State of Indiana is relatively flat LOL

I went to college in River Falls. 12 years ago it was a pretty great rural place to cycle. Unfortunately, it was getting very developed when I left.

Do you live in River Falls? Is it still a great place to ride?

Cullen

only did around 14 today, felt tired and HOT. Did some intervals just to see how well I can deal with repeated surges.

...not preparing for anything or anything..
