Sweet! Ride the heck out of it!

What are you using for pedals? Eggbeaters?

Now let me be the first to point out . . .
1. Flip it!
2. No white garage door!
3. Lose the seat bag!
4. But at least it looks like you lost the dork disk already!

Oh crap.

Shider with index shifting. And 20 speeds from which to choose.

I think I speak for most of the folks who have ridden with you when we collectively say....

Nice ride. Was this a Shosies purchase? Did the wife get her bike yet?

Looks a little small, don't you ride like a 58 or something?

DING DING DING! We have a winner!

So for Father's day I bought my wife a bike. Well, technically, we bought her a bike. In answer to the previous questions:

Yes on the eggbeaters. I don't know how long it will stay that way but, it's what she's used to, so it's a good place to start.

Yes it's from Shosies. Bruce was really great to work with. This is her first road bike (she's done some mountain biking) and he spent 2.5 hours with us fitting several Giant and Felt bikes until we got something that fit. Of course, then we ordered something else, but with all the dimensions in hand we were fairly convinced it would be the right fit.

It is a Giant TCR-cw. Giant doesn't offer as wide a range for their women's models (needed in my wife's case for the short reach shifters and smaller frame sizes.) If you want a full carbon frame in a women's bike you have two choices the TCR-cw and the OCR-cw. It's a little bit of a strange componentry mix, R700 shifters, R600 crank (not HollowTech. but still shifts well), Ultegra/105 rear/front derailers, Tiagra brakes, and Aksium wheels. I guess they had to save money someplaces. Still it's fairly light. We tried Trek and Felt but couldn't find a frame that really fit well.

As for me, I'm still sporting the 7-speed down tube shifters, but I think the justification for a new bike got a little nearer even if the financial reality just got a little farther away.

<Collective sigh of relief....>

It now makes perfect sense. Way to go, shider! Great purchase!
