Psimet2001 09-07-07 09:36 AM

I might try to make it. Sounds like a nice and easy ride. I'd need that this weekend.

Psimet2001 09-07-07 01:36 PM

Anyone else joining in? Voldemort you in again?

voldemort 09-07-07 07:29 PM

I'm in. I need to get in all the miles I can before the Psimet International, er, invitational:) See you there?

I'll be there. When should I roll in? 7:20ish?

voldemort 09-07-07 10:38 PM

They usually don't pull out until about 7:45. I'm shooting for 7:30, although I was early for somrthing one time, many years ago.

Psimet2001 09-08-07 09:47 AM

Nice ride. 25.6 Miles at 18.4 average. I needed that. Voldemort dropped me in a viscious attack. Nice. The skill level of this group is perfect for a weekly ride.

I'll most likely be back next week.

jbernaeyge - were you there? CyLowe mentioned we weren't sure of who else was there from BF.

jbernaeyge 09-08-07 10:27 AM

psimet- i was not there this week.have been sick for the past few day.
i plan on being there next saturday

Wow, first time "Voldemort" "dropped"and "attack" have been used in a sentence together with me on the positive side. :eek:Usually it's more like "Voldemort was once again dropped by a ridiculously slow, simplistic attack" or "Voldemort was repeatedly dropped by anyone who bothered to make an attack" Of course, Psimet didn't mention that he subsequently left me gasping for air after he blew by me and casually pulled away. I hope to be able to do this ride regularly:D

Psimet2001 09-14-07 07:41 AM

I am thinking I might re-arrange my childcare to Saturday morning this week so I can hop on this ride again. Anyone else in this week?

voldemort 09-14-07 11:54 AM

Don't you have one of those backpack kid-carriers? Just strap him on and bring him with:p

See you there.

Psimet2001 09-14-07 12:25 PM

I am definitely in.

jbernaeyge 09-14-07 04:36 PM

i will be there

aham23 09-14-07 06:18 PM

dont forget your arm and leg warmers. 45 degrees can be a bit chilly on the bike :).

have a good one. later.

Psimet2001 09-15-07 05:39 AM

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGHHH!! It's right at that crappy temp too. Too cold for mild gear, but too warm for the winter heavy gear. I'm going to end up with booties and knee warmers. ;)

jbernaeyge 10-05-07 06:01 PM

anyone comeing out for this ride this weekend?

Psimet2001 10-05-07 07:53 PM

CyLowe97 mentioned he might. I REALLY want to, but my wife is working this weekend so I am busy "parenting".

voldemort 10-05-07 09:05 PM

Can't. Off to the Indiana dunes for one last warm day at the beach with wife and kids. I'd rather be riding.:(

CyLowe97 10-06-07 09:10 AM

Without Psimet and voldemort there to crush souls and unsuspecting roadside fauna, the pace was much more sedate than the first two times I did this ride.

:)

The Pedaler crew were all on Langster single speeds. Couple of the Chicago "Gangster" versions, couple of the London versions, and one of the NYC taxi-schemed Langsters. Cool idea from Specialized. I let them know that next time they all had to flip the flip-flop hubs and do the ride fixed. Ha.

Psimet2001 10-12-07 09:17 AM

I'm going to try to make it there tomorrow. Anyone else in?

voldemort 10-12-07 09:29 AM

Great minds think alike. I was logging on to ask that same question. Yes, I'm planning on it.

aham23 10-12-07 09:41 AM

i find this group meet up and ride stuff interesting............ :)

CyLowe97 10-12-07 09:59 AM

aham, isn't it about time for you to organize the second annual Starved Rock ride?

As for tomorrow's Pedaler ride, I am most likely out. The second annual block hayride/marshmallow roast is tomorrow and it's at 11 am. Plus, it's the sixth anniversary for me and Mrs. CyLowe97. I wonder if she'll like the new tandem I purchased without her input? ;)
