Great Lakes Jersey - Finally!

After much waiting I am finally putting the Great Lakes Jersey thread up. It only took a little over a year to do it. Many thanks to iab for finalizing the artwork and professionalizing it.

What: Jerseys and bibs - from Champion.
http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/2...fjerseymy6.jpg
The circle around the great lakes graphic is actually made of bike chain - along with the lines framing the lettering on the front of the jersey.
http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/8...fshortsgk2.jpg

What you see above are the actual proofs received from Champion

Price: $58 for Jersey
$72 for Bibs
$65 for shorts
$6 total for shipping if you are not close enough to pick it up.

How: PM me to receive paypal address. Then Paypal your total amount (example: 1 jersey and 1 bib short + shipping = $58 + $72 + $6 = $136 Example:1 jersey + shipping = $58 + $6 = $64) PM me for payment details. Pretty much exclusively Paypal.

When: PROOFS ARE IN - See above. Will only accept orders until 5pm Central 11/8/2007

I know nothing about their sizing. Please check other threads on this forum for info about sizing. Simply tell me cut and size (Male or Female, - Race, or Club and S,M,L,XL, etc).
Was pointed to this on BikeForums...

maybe i just cant see it, but where did you put "400w" ? thems just jokes :)

nice. now do i go race large or club medium. not a question, just thinking out load.

FYI for those wondering, the race cut of the BF SoCal jersey, which i think is also made by Champion is a tight fit for me (6'3'' 175 lbs). the arms are tight and the length runs a bit short for tall dudes. i did grow or shrink into this summer though and actually like the fit now.

later.

I'm in. 1 Large, Club cut, por favor.

I have a Champion Systems Large Race Cut jersey and it is quite snug and a bit short. I don't wear it much because of that. I have figured out that Race Cut is not meant for a slight paunch due to a love of things deep fried and and craft brewed, coupled with a lazy riding schedule, no matter how skinny the rest of me is.

I had another ChampSys jersey that was Large Club Cut and it was just about right for me. Hence, I'm pretty sure on this choice.

CyLowe97 10-01-07 07:25 AM

so what size should we put you down for? small/race cut, right? You're pretty much Bettini-esque, yeah?

I know the original post says no changes, but what if we put on an Assos logo? I think botto would be willing to pay substantially more than $58 + shipping for such a jersey!

CyLowe97 10-01-07 08:57 AM

adidas shoe covers? You are slumming it there, aren't you?

John Wilke 10-01-07 11:13 AM

Bibs/shorts are in the works. The art is done, but it needs to be updated to the latest version. So as of now I have nothing. I'll announce on here is I end up with them before this order is sent.

To order PM me for instructions.

Vjacks 10-01-07 06:40 PM

I may be fairly new here, so please forgive me, but what's the significance to tractor up?

When riding in a group, common etiquette calling out "car back" or "car up" to let everyone know what's happening.

When we ride among the corn and soybeans, it's not uncommon to have a big old John Deere tractor or combine ambling toward the group and taking up a lane and a half of the road..... hence we love to holler out, "TRACTOR UP!" It's more fun than a boring old "car up."

This one's not on the road, but it's wise to let them take the lane when they are, lest you get all combined up....

It's kind of a wink/knod acknowledgement that the Great Lakes area is a vast farmland. During rides we often encounter farm related traffic/machinery in the roads.

Occassionaly, in the interest of safety, most riders in this area have had to utter the phrase "Tractor Up" to warn others in the group that there is a large farm implement that is heading towards the group.

I find that funny every time I hear it.

Short version: It's like saying "Car up" or "Car Back", but because we all ride around a lot of farmland instead of cars we seem to encounter tractors.

Tractor up!!!!

I love it...too darn funny.

I'm in for a medium ladies jersey! Crystal

jbernaeyge 10-05-07 06:07 AM

im very interested in a mens large jersey

Psimet2001 10-05-07 11:35 AM

Doing well with the ordering. It's all through PMs so that why there is not a lot of traffic on this thread. We are well over the minimums so far if you count all of the verbals. Actual pays is close to meeting the minimums.

I still haven't heard from a lot of the regulars yet....especially the WI guys. I know Hip is on vacation, but Crom, Frukin, FlyWolf, etc....:)

I will be giving preliminary counts to Champion early next week. You will still be able to order for the next week or so. I will post the date I plan to cut ordering when it is finalized.

I am usually so far back, I never here the "tractor up" anyway. The bad one is "tractor back".
Being passed by a tractor is pretty discouraging.
