Twin Cities Bike Swap February 10th

Has anyone attended this in the past? I need to buy a stem, seat post, pedals(all road) and maybe shoes. I was thinking I might drive up there and see if there are any good deal on anything. That's a long ways for me to travel for nothing though.

I went last year and left with a bunch of stuff. A lot of sponsored people trying to dump extra goodies and good deals.

I'll be there. Note the new location! Heck, I'll probably get a table next year.

I went to a pretty decent swap a couple of years ago, in some school gym in St Paul I think. St Paul Academy?

Anybody know if this swap still happens, and if so, when is it scheduled for this year?

See the link above; it has just been moved to a new location.

I, apparently, am not a very good reader. Thanks for setting me straight.

is this a swap for used stuff only, or are there venders/companies showing off the latest and greatest as well?

It's not a trade show, but local shops often have a table of closeout bits and whatnot. 'Course QBP is headquartered and warehoused here, so they could make it a real destination.

Bump.

If anyone needs a (car)ride, PM me. It's looking to be utterly miserable to ride this weekend. I'll be there early and not long.

A good swap again this year. I picked up a couple of things I was looking for. The space was a little smaller so it was tight and MAN was it cold outside! -14 on my thermometer. Next year they say it will be at the Fairgrounds. That will be much better, and I bet much bigger.

I made the trip over from Wisconsin and thought the swap was great. Came away with a nice wheelset and a few small odds and ends.

For what it's worth, I've been to this swap a couple of times and think it's even better than the bigger Cronometro swap in Madison. The Madison swap has a size advantage, but folks there always seem to be asking too much for what their stuff is worth. There seem to be better deals to be had at the Twin Cities swap (though the bike corral left a lot to be desired). Kudos to the organizers and sellers.

As an aside, does anyone know anything about the Twin Cities Bicycling Club swap coming up in March? What's the size like compared to Sunday's swap?

It'll be smaller, more individual sellers. Like me. Details.

Thanks for the link. If you don't mind me asking, how much smaller? Any idea how many tables there were last year? It's kind of a long haul for me.

Thank you.

Missed last year's. Poke around on the TCBC website and there should be some photos.
