shake rattle & earthquake ?

this morning around 4:30 am the kid wakes up crying. something about her sock fell off? the wife is up handling it while i lay in bed trying to go back to sleep. i am almost there where i feel the bedroom shake? it did it twice. it was odd, but it was early and maybe i was just really sleepy.

reports i am hearing on the radio this morning seem to be indicating the midwest had an earthquake?!@? that is just crazy.

later.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

I diidn't feel it as I was driving my son to school just at that moment when the earthquake hit.
Yeah, you heard right, 4:40am I had to drop him off for a field trip.

So, since I was awake anyway I used that opportunity to squeeze in a 1h 30min bike ride before going to work Weather is gorgeous! Oh, and I got a nice 35mph draft from a rig starting from a traffic light. Breakin Away style

It woke me up. Thought it was an earthquake or a huge cat fight under the bed. No noise, just jiggling of the bed.

It woke my wife up, and kinda woke me up. Although I didn't know it was an earthquake: I was getting mad at my wife for shaking the bed so much, ha.

Slept through it. Wouldn't be the first time.

I experienced a ton of earthquakes when I lived in Taiwan. Your brain always thinks they are something else when they start and it always takes me a second or two to figure out what they are.

As for sleeping through...I slept through a 5.something in Taiwan. When I woke up and the bed was about 6 inches from the wall and everyone in the house was running around asking if everyone was OK.

I'm south of you, west of Joliet. I thought there was something too, because the lights and ceiling tiles in my office all kinda jostled a little bit - but then I thought it was probably just my mind "thinking earthquake," because a truck went by or something.

At 11:18 AM EDT, aftershock felt here in Fort Wane, IN

Computer monitors all shock, pole light woblled, and thought a vibrator feature added to office chair.

Actually it seem as if I was no a boat and a wave went underneath.

Did not feel the earlier occurrence, but many other reported via media outlets.

Friend in Indy, reported same, but fun this AM as she was in the shower, when the world moved in her corner.
