Super Week lodging

Hey All,

I'm looking at driving up for Super Week from Atlanta, GA. Any ideas on nailing down a reasonably-priced way to sleep somewhere up there? I don't mind the gas costs or the entry costs, but 17 nights at 70 per night is more than I can handle. I'm having trouble hooking up with anyone to split a hotel multiple ways with... Thanks!

Certainly try the lodging link from the web page.

Send them an email requesting help. If there isn't a family available immediately, sometimes they can hook you up with a local college or university for some quality dorm life. Perhaps Marquette U., Milwaukee School of Engineering, UW-Milwaukee, Carrol College in Waukesha, or other in the Chicago area. I remember staying several nights in a dorm in Oshkosh many years ago. Often, the announcers at the races will announce to the crowd, mid-series, that they are looking for host families also, so never give up hope.

Keep us posted on how it's going maybe we can pull some strings if you're still stuck.

Looking forward to having you up here!!

(Don't forget to pack a winter hat ... just in case the wind shifts off Lake Michigan. It can get pretty chilly up here (low 50's) even in mid July! )

Hmmmm, I have an entire house on a lake I could rent out, but that's gonna be a little more than $70.00 a night!

Seriously, I've talked to several families that have put riders up and loved doing it.
Use that link JDub provided, and if that doesn't work, maybe he can put you up in his dark room....the dude takes some awesome pictures of bike racers.
