Bike Psycho Century 8/24/2008
New to forum,my name is Dan I'm 40 and started riding this year late spring. The last time I rode was in my late 20's.I did my first century a few weeks ago(Melon Metric) in 5hrs39min av.speed 17.6,just a few rolling hills.Has anyone done Bike Psycho's century? It looks like it goes out to starved rock and I imagine it's probably a little more hilly than I'm use to riding.I live in Villa Park so not to many hills where I ride, but I do look forward to the challenge.

I've done that ride the last five years or so. It's a great ride. The stops are well supported. There are some rolling hills coming back from Marsailles. Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed.

I did this ride last year, it was great. Did 130 miles Was supposed to do the 120 mile option, but someone in our group made a wrong turn
This year I hope to not make that same mistake... and will opt either for the 120 or 100.
It's a great ride... but I don't remember any hills.

i have done it the last two years. last year the route was a bit different due to some flodding issues. the year previous i believe was more of their normal route. there are some nice little rollers, but nothing too sever. it is a very well done ride. nice route, well marked, and decent rest stops. i recommend it to anyone in the area. later.

I will be riding tomorrow, planning on the 125 mile route.
I have a bit of a drive so I hope to arrive by 6:30 to register, and roll out around 7:00.
I will be the big guy with a white sleeveless jersey and a black Madone.

I did 70 mile route ( which is actually only 65) and let me tell you - I like this ride a lot! I expected typical Illinois farmland and was pleasantly surprised by nice scenery, esp along the river. Ride is relatively flat ( at least 70 mile portion of it) and not confusing. I was a little bit worried that they did not provide cue sheets - only maps - never looked at it! ;-).
NIce weather helped too!
I am doing century next year there for sure!
