bike fitting in Dayton, Ohio
Hey all,
i'm getting ready to purchase a new bike within the next couple weeks, and i'm putting in my research so when the $$ is ready i'll be ready. anyway, i've been checking out the local bike shops and i haven't been able to find any place that does fittings more than "ride it around the parking lot to see how it feels". i'm not too comfortable with that as everyone i've talked to has said the fit of the bike is the most important thing about the bike.
so the reason for the post is, do any of you know of any bike shops that do fittings that won't cost me $150-$200? thanks in advance for your help!

The Giant dealer here in Columbus is called ; they measure you and recommend the bike that will fit, then adjust it as needed. The have a store in Beavercreek too.

The original Wright shop, or perhaps just one of them, was moved to Dearborn, MI by Henry Ford. It can be seen at Greenfield Village.

Here is a place in Bellbrook, on Rt 725. I've never had one done, but it looks like a good shop.

The first bike shop(Wright Cycle Exchange) opened in Dayton in 1892 after their printing business.
On a side note:
While in highschool Orville lost his front teeth to a hockey accident(likely a cheap shot from a former Redwing).

I've had Roll do it here in Columbus and should be the same there in Dayton. It is like $60 but free if you buy the bike kind of thing. They have you stand up on a platform and the camara moves up and down and they measure your arms and such. From there they can suggest frame size and fit the bike based on how you want to ride. Overall it took like 20-30 mins to adjust my bike but I was pretty close b4.

Go to Wheelie Fun in Lebanon. I've been 'fit' one way or another by several local shops, but none were as comprehensive as Bob at Wheelie Fun.
Oh and fyi - don't go to Kettering Bike Shop or K&G to expect any sort of fit.
Ipro is ok - I had Roger fit my Orca there years ago, but it was more subjective based fit (which I am now firmly against).

Does not compute. You want a cheap fit and someone will have you stand over the top tube and ask you your subjective opinion about it. You want a real dynamic, power based fit with spin scan, you're going to pay for it.
