Anywho, I report this to tag onto your "my legs are dead" sentiment. Seriously, I can barely walk. haha

There's a frost warning tonight. It's gonna be chilly in the morning. I have some good stories about not dressing warm enough for this ride a couple of years ago.

You encouraged me to look at the weather for tomorrow morning. 46 degrees @ 8 am :( not only should I wear knee warmers, but I might need a jersey with sleeves!

damn i would be doing this one, it was a good time last year except for the leg cramps after. Still messed up from an accident though and i don't have a new helmet yet also i don't have a working bike. sh-t!

Man I love Dairy Queen. Large Blizzard? What flavor toppings?

8:00 rollout and friggin' cold. At least I don't need to freeze a water bottle overnight. Maybe hot chicken soup instead. Now where the heck did I put those earmuffs? And my biking parka?

Turned out to be a gorgeous day. Smokin Miles, Voldemmort, Nietsmas and I (missed you JT1) rode together for most of the ride and had a real pleasant time. Niets is the one that started trucking on the second of four legs and we kind of nailed it after that for about 20 minutes till the rest stop. To be followed very shortly by Vold and Smoke: they cranked it up too :).

The finish has quite a few rollers and Niets even detoured for a steeper one and we all had fun. I'm out of the saddle on one and Voldemort comes cruising by ... sandbagger. Then crystal makes her jump and cruises hard up a few ... double sandbagger (that or it takes her 65 miles to get warmed up). :)

Great day, fun ride, good eats. S, V, and I stopped at Asta La Pasta on the way home for great bike recovery food.

And I didn't even crash ... not once. :)

Good, good times (wireless and JT1, we were keeping out an eye for you..hope we didn't miss you at the start)

A big thanks to Nietmas, CC and Voldemort who all dragged me along to finish my longest ride of the season. This was a hard effort for me and it felt good to get a long ride in.

Gorgeous, sunny, not really too cold day finished off with lunch at a great place recommended by CC. Delicious!

I always have so much fun with the BFNIC gang!

Next up.....Rockton! Based on my legs today, I think CyLowes ride is going to nearly kill me....ah, can't wait! :twitchy:

as mentioned by CC and SmokinMiles, it was a great ride. the sun was a great welcome to help offset the chilly temps at the start. the pace was perfect. i forgot to wear my HRM strap, but knew that i wasn't killing myself and i definitely had more gas left in the tank.

here's my ride data:

Great ride. Hard enough to hurt, but not hard enough to maim. I'd forgotten how much I like this ride. As usual, I started peeling off layers as the day went on. First the vest, then long gloves to short gloves, then the tights. Thanks CC and Nietsmas for the pulls.

MY Stats:;)

2 pieces of banana
2 more with peanut better
2 bunches of grapes
half a turkey on wheat
3 chocolate chip cookies
4 apple slices
2 watermelon slices
quarter bagel with peanut butter
bag of trail mix
2 "shot blocks" (on the bike)
Hey, it was three rest stops, even I don't pork down this much on a single stop ride:innocent:
