Eisenhower express rebuilding comments (Chicago)

Don't know much about this, but they're supposed to be looking for comments on what the public wants for the rebuilding on the Eisenhower expressway, and this is the place to let them know if you think bikelanes would be good idea. Or a bad one.

Personally, the only reason I'd want to do that would be to get away from the city. The people that live there might want to ride next to the expressway while they commute in a way that good for their health and the environment while separated from the cars on the expressway (ever notice the barriers between the CTA tracks and the expressway?).

Nothing like dodging broken glass, potholes and non-laboring "laborers" while wondering if the brother in the Caprice Classic with 22's and his hazards flashing is going to take me out.

Bleh, imagine choking on all the exhaust at 5:30 in the afternoon in the middle of July. Besides, aren't there signs when you get on all expressways that non motorized vehicular traffic is prohibited?
