Only March
So it's never too early to be OTB. I made the mistake of trying to ride with a group of guys from Bicycle Heaven last Saturday. I knew my only hope was to hang in the middle of the group...which I failed to do about 5 miles out. All of a sudden, ZOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!! and they were gone.
On the plus side, it was a beautiful sunny day, up in the mid-high forties, and I was OUTSIDE! Rode for about 3 hours, and never saw them again. Oh well.

It was a VERY fast ride for early season. Well over half of the original group didn't make it to the end. No shame in getting dropped!

It is a touch early. I'm sure by the start of April you will be dropping them.

Yea, by then I'll have moved up to a Cat 9000. Maybe I should try the bicycle pump trick from Breaking Away. Of course right now I carry CO2, so that could be a little tricky.
