Superweek TBD Dates

What's the rumor mill saying about the 2 TBD dates at the front of the Superweek schedule?

Typically these are Chicago races. Anyone know anything?

There's a 2010 TOAD/SUPERWEEK thread a little farther down that's got a lot of chatter and conjecture. I'd keep and eye on Wilke's blog (www.pelotonstar.com) as he seems to get a lot of good info.

All the tweets out of Superweek central are still boasting 17 days of racing.

Then there was this cryptic one yesterday: "ICCSUPERWEEK: Couple of new sites, contact us at marketing@internationalcycling.com"

I have no idea what that means. I'll email them and see if I can get any insight. Will get back to 'yall.

Where do you get this stuff? They haven't updated the twitter since April?

Is it true that they need more volunteers for that Milwaukee to Illinois road race you reported on at the beginning of April?

Oh, I have my ways.

No, unfortunately that Milwaukee - Chicago race is a "no go". It seems that the State of Illinois wanted to charge all the riders a toll when they crossed the state line, and Otto said .... well, I can't repeat what he said, but that kind of put a damper on the whole thing, what with stopping the peloton and all.

100 km crits. day after day! 100 mile road races. A good hard series, + lots of fun.Don't miss it! ICC/SW 8:52 AM Oct 25th, 2009 via mobile web

I'll believe it when I see it (and, even then I'm not sure I'll believe it).

In general I will not believe anything with regard to Superweek until I hear "riders Ready" and I have a number pinned on and the course is actually set up. Until then everything leading up to that point is simply gossip, lies, and empty promises.

It's funny....considering all the shady deals that have to be done you would figure that most of the racing would be in chicago.

Partial info just released about the South Milwaukee stage, it's on 9th and Milwaukee Ave which is 'downtown' in South Milwaukee. A first for that city and should be COOL. They have a URL but it's not up yet. Looking forward to that.

If you want accommodations for any/part of the front of that Illinois leg, let me know. I've got a spare bedroom. I'm about an hour from the races on the south side. You could roll a bike from here to the Geneva course with very little pedaling (it's nearly all down hill from my place. Seriously).

Thanks man. I've got a bunch of cats that I like keeping tabs on, so I'll just take a chill pill and work through it.
