For what it's worth, I'm born and raised Edwardsville and still live there. Didn't know a thing about the race, but now that I do, I'll certainly be there watching.

By the way, the paved trails around here are fantastic!

Oh, this MJH / MJH2 is going to get confusing. :p

Where's Edwardsville? :D

Wow! A bike race in Edwardsville! I just stumbled across this while looking for the Tour de Dickinson ride in U-P Michigan....
I'm an Edwardsville local, just went ahead and signed up for the race. (Lowly Cat5)

Thank you for putting on this event!

And yes, as others have said, the rails-to-trails program here has NO rival.

I lived in Edwardsville for a few years in the mid 60's when I was growing up and we rode our bikes everywhere because that's how we got around then, and went back a few months ago. It looked like a great place to ride, and I wished I had time to ride when I was there.

Did you graduate from Edwardsville? Is so, what year? I'm a '67 graduate.

I'm planning on driving over for the race, should be fun!

No, I was in first and second grade when I lived there. I went to N. O. Nelson grade school, and was surprised to find they are still using it. The "new school" we went to the next year doesn't look so new anymore either!

I remember riding down to the A&W for ice cream, and spending most of the day out riding around doing nothing on our bikes then. I wish we could have lived there longer.

I'm in. Bringing a crew.

It's a pretty good place to live. I was principal at Glen Carbon School for 13 years before I retired. Now I just try and ride my bike as much as possible.
