Cyclist hit by car in Glenview

https://triblocal.com/glenview/2010/1...r-in-glenview/

The woman was traveling south on the bicycle trail along Harms Road with another friend. The two were crossing Glenview Road when a car traveling west struck her.

Yeah, they showed that on the news. The bike didn't look damaged from the video I saw, so hopefully that means it was just a tap and she only has some cuts and bruises at the most.

That can be a treacherous crossing. It is heavily wooded right up to the road on the south side so cars can't see northbound cyclists until they are in the road. Also cyclists heading north are on the left side of the road and often proceed through when they see a green light even with northbound Harms traffic has a left signal rather than wait for the walk signal. Was the car going straight or right turning? Did the cyclist or driver disobey the light?
