OT Maple syrup

Just wondering if the Maple tree sap is running and have the syrup makers started yet. Growing up in Ohio I remember it as a one of the best times of the year. I'd like to order some from Ohio or Penn. if I can get it.

I think it is still a little early. We just (finally) had an above 32 degree day over the weekend. This week we are going to have some 40 and maybe (yeah) a 50. It looks like early March is the time.

The PA maple festivals usually crank up in mid March if memory serves me right. You can however buy products pretty much year round from local maple farms. There is some info on the link below. There are links to maple farms on the site as well.

I just saw a story about that on the local news an hour ago.
They said the weather is perfect so far this year for a good harvest,(or
whatever you call it).
